In his interview with Charlie Rose, Warren Buffett aka the Oracle of Omaha says “In my adult lifetime I don’t think I’ve ever seen people as fearful, economically, as they are now… The economy is going to be getting worse for a while.”

This is worrying as it means the economy will be getting worse for some time to come. Buffett also says the credit squeeze is sucking blood from the US economy.

However, Warren Buffett is also well-known for often saying “be fearful when others are greeedy and be greedy when others are fearful” – he has also been buying quite a lot in recent weeks.
